Authentic / Civil War Era / 1840-1860 / N.C.O Officers Sword / The blade has been beautifully etched on both sides with a patriotic theme and measures 27 inches / Overall sword length is 33 ¾ inches / Taped label on blade reads 15-EI EGI. / Brass knights head pommel / Cross guard features a star and shield motif / Bone handle / Leather scabbard is fully intact and sturdy / General wear with age / There are some dark patches near the swords tip where finish has come off over the years / This sword was displayed in the Battlefield Military Museum in Gettysburg, Pa from 1996 to 2021 with a cataloged number of #43 / The museum closed this year (2024) It was purchased from the auction house charged with the liquidation / The sword comes with its museum description card and a copy of the auction flyer showing its listing number and classification / Please inquire with any questions
